In 2011, I found myself at a crossroad. I had recently separated from a long term relationship, was unhappy in my high stress corporate sales career, and with the overall direction my life had taken. I was in my late 30s, gaining weight, experiencing hormonal fluctuations, PMS and had been suffering with digestive issues. I had lost my joy and new that something had to change.
I wasn’t willing to just continue along the same path unwilling to take my life into my own hands. So I left the corporate world, as it became clear to me that in order to reinvent myself, I needed to follow my passion. I enrolled at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where I had the most enjoyable academic year of my life. I had always felt passionate about healthy living and often gave nutritional advice to friends and family, but going to school opened my eyes to the possibilities of truly affecting change in not just my life, but others who were suffering as well.
While at CSNN, I met new friends with the same passion that was re-igniting in me and learned so much more than I ever could have imagined. The changes in my health that I was able to effect in myself and in those around me was astounding. It was during this time that I started blogging and Ananda nutrition began to take flight.
I’m grateful every day for this new journey and for the opportunity to share my love of natural health, the healing powers of food and choosing a more healthy approach to living. My passion continues to be fuelled every day by the hope to inspire others to live a healthier, happier life. Try new recipes, learn new things and to choose happiness. This life journey can be one of immense joy, if you allow yourself to be in tune with the your body, the positive elements in your life and believing that we all have the ability for greatness.
